What recovery states mean

Pending, delay, hold, dispute, and release-candidate states are internal workflow controls. They do not by themselves establish legal inheritance rights or transfer ownership.

Inactivity and evidence

Inactivity may begin a recovery review, but should not be treated as death, incapacity, or legal entitlement by itself. Additional evidence, approvals, and review may be required.

Beneficiaries, executors, and trustees

Claims by beneficiaries, executors, trustees, or lawyers should be supported by identity verification and any required documentary evidence. Local law may override workflow expectations.

Disputes and holds

lyfvault may delay, freeze, or require review of recovery workflows where disputes, conflicting evidence, or legal uncertainty are present.
